Mountain Of The Lord Miami

Reconciling with Christ Jesus,
One Life at a Time.

“We are reaching the world with the love of Christ Jesus, one person at a time.”

Who We Are

A mountain top in the middle of Miami

Mountain Of The Lord Miami (MOTL 305) is a Bible-believing church raising up a generation that carries the presence of God into every corner of this city and beyond. We gather to worship freely, grow in the Word, and go out reaching our neighbors, workplaces, and nations — one person at a time.

Our name comes from Isaiah 2:2–3 and Micah 4:1–2 — the mountain of the Lord's house, established as the highest of the mountains, with all nations flowing to it. The palms and peaks in our mark are Miami and the mountain we're climbing together; the cross is why we climb at all.

“In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” Isaiah 2:2–3 (NIV)

The Word behind our name, our worship, and why we go — Psalm 24.

“The earth is the LORD'S, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty — he is the King of glory. Selah.” Psalm 24:1–10 (NIV)

What We Believe

The truths we build our lives on

Seven convictions from Scripture that shape how we walk with Christ — and the foundation for every baptism at MOTL 305.

1

New Birth

You must be born again

  • John 3:3“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
  • Romans 10:9“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
2

Repentance & Faith

Turn from sin, trust Christ

  • Acts 3:19“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”
  • Ephesians 2:8–9“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
  • 1 John 1:9“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.”
3

Obedience

Love proves itself by obedience

  • John 14:15“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
  • James 2:17“Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
  • Luke 9:23“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
4

Holiness

Set apart from the world

  • 1 Peter 1:16“Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
  • Romans 12:1–2“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
  • 2 Corinthians 6:17“Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord.”
5

Love

The mark of a true disciple

  • John 13:35“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
  • 1 John 4:8“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
  • Matthew 22:37–39 — Love God, love your neighbor.
6

Fruit

You will know them by their fruit

  • Galatians 5:22–23“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”
  • Matthew 7:20“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
  • John 15:8“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
7

Perseverance

Endure to the end

  • Matthew 24:13“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:3“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
  • Revelation 2:10“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

Respond

If these truths stir something in you, hover or tap the heading above to read the prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Today I come to You to be born again. Your Word says except a man be born again, he cannot see Your kingdom. Make me a new creature in Christ — let old things pass away and all things become new.

I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. By grace I am saved through faith, and that not of myself, it is Your gift.

I repent and I am converted, that my sins may be blotted out. I confess my sins before You, knowing You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Because I love You, I will keep Your commandments. Show me how to deny myself, take up my cross daily, and follow You. Let my faith not be dead, but alive with works that honor You.

Make me holy, for You are holy. I will not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of my mind. I come out from among them and I am separate unto You.

Fill me with Your Spirit, that the world will know I am Your disciple by my love. Let Your fruit be evident in me — love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Herein let Your Father be glorified, that I bear much fruit.

Give me strength to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. I choose this day to be faithful unto death, trusting You will give me the crown of life. For he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

Amen.
